Many students studying for these types of exams are intimidated by the sheer amount of information. However, our goal of this training is to attempt to showcase that several aspects simply make common sense and there are several patterns to assist you along your journey as a pharmacy technician.
To study for this exam, you must first recognize your strengths and weaknesses, so you can capitalize on those strengths in an effort to overcome the weaknesses. For instance, some people recognize specific patterns better than others (numbers versus drug names, or abbreviations versus laws) and can spend more time working on their weaknesses to continue building progressive knowledge.
Primarily, don’t stress. There are always going to be items yet to be learned, and additional components that come as second nature, particularly the more you are surrounded by the terminology, the medications, and the environment as a whole with all of it occurring around you each workday. Don’t overstudy, don’t overstress, and always believe in yourself, as you have made it this far so you can continue to succeed!
